Itinerary

Expand all

Border crossing and a desert drive of 280–300km via Turkmenabat.

Visit the UNESCO site including the Sultan Sanjar Mausoleum and fortresses, then cycle to Oguzhan.

Ride across semi-desert terrain with nomadic camps and traditional tea houses.

Cycle toward the capital and explore its marble monuments and architectural landmarks.

Visit Kow Ata's thermal underground lake and historic sites en route.

Navigate mountain roads and canyons in western Turkmenistan's remote terrain.

Experience the colourful "Lunar Mountains" and visit a mountain village with tribal traditions.

Descend the mountains with panoramic views and a free evening in the capital.

Venture into the desert toward the legendary burning gas crater with stargazing.

Continue north across dunes and gas fields, arriving in the evening.

Optional visits to Silk Road monuments, bazaars, and a rest day.

Transfer to the Dashoguz/Shavat crossing for departure to Uzbekistan.
