A 6-day journey showcasing Turkmenistan's cultural and natural wonders, including UNESCO heritage sites, the iconic Darvaza gas crater, and ancient Silk Road trading hubs.

Itinerary

Expand all

Airport arrival, hotel check-in, and sightseeing of Independence Park, the Arch of Neutrality, Ertugrul Gazi Mosque, and the Ferris Wheel.

Visit the UNESCO Nisa fortress ruins, the Turkmenbashi Ruhy Mosque, the Akhal-Teke horse farm, and the warm underground Kov Ata lake.

Travel through the Karakum Desert to the burning Darvaza crater with a barbecue dinner at camp.

Return journey visiting the mud and water craters, then the Carpet Museum upon arrival in Ashgabat.

Domestic flight to Mary to explore the ancient Merv urban centres, fortress ruins, mausoleums, and the Mary History Museum.

Transfer to the airport for onward travel.
